Believe it or not, we

Believe it or not, we're still in Pere LaChaise. We're just a little lost. Ok, a lot.

Day 22

My second visit to Pere LaChaise was like visiting a whole new cemetery. For starters, I found Gertrude Stein! It was a remarkable grave in that Alice B. Toklas is buried with her, but her name is inscribed on the back of the marker.

Other famous graves included Moliere, Gilbert Becaud, Balzac and, of course, Jim Morrison. Even though there was a crowd of people around his grave, we had a hard time finding it because our map was wrong. Yes, I'm blaming the map. Both Britton and I have ridiculously amazing map-reading skills, so it definitely wasn't us.

We headed to the Eiffel Tower next and came upon a festival like event near the Champ de Mars. There was a free lesson going on teaching people to how to, and I'm not making this up, Bollywood dance.

See, I'm not lying. It was surreal. Anyway, we were going to go up the tower, but after seeing the line, we decided to do it another day when we had a better plan of attack. It was then on to the Trocadero to view the Eiffel Tower from other lovely vantage points.

The Arc de Triomphe was last for the day. When we arrived, some official-looking officials started clearing everyone away from the base of the Arc. There was going to be some ceremony and I captured some of it, but frankly, it's boring as hell. It was just interesting to see the Arc so empty without tourists (like us!) mucking up the place.
