These are the bottles of Belgian beer we hauled through the streets of Ixelles in search of a cab. It wasn't enough for Cylinda so we had to go in search of bottles of French beer. And no, she's not an alcoholic yet. Probably in a few weeks.

Day 18

This being Cylinda's last full day in Paris (and her entire European vacation), we threw caution to the wind and went to Office Depot. I'm not kidding. I don't kid.

We needed packing supplies for the 8 liters (I'm outside of the US now, I know about these "measurements") of beer she accumulated. By accumulated, I don't mean drank. The amount of beer she drank in total during her 4 1/2 weeks here should probably remain between her and her god. If s/he's good with it, we all should be, too.

Anyway, what was my point? God loves beer? No, I mean, probably, but that wasn't it. Cylinda was taking home about 20 bottles of beer so we needed a new suitcase, bubble wrap, packing tape and self-restraint on not reducing it to 17 or 18 bottles.

Before shopping at Frenchy Office Depot, we ate one last time at Mezzo di Pasta. I already mentioned this place on Day 3. We ate it a few times in between. By few, I mean a lot.

Our last stop was at Cave a Bulles, a shop specializing in french beer. Who knew the French made beer? And that people buy it? Willingly?
