Day 09 August 24, 2008
In Paris on Sundays, many stores are closed. There's actually a store here that advertises itself as the Sunday morning grocery store because it's the ONLY ONE OPEN. When I open my Ben Gay store, I'm keeping it open every day (that I'm not taking a vacation).
So with nothing much to do, we didn't do much. We toured the Opera Garnier, an outlandishly decorated building that I have no exterior photos of. I have my reasons! But I can't think of them at the moment.
You'll have to settle for interior shots and a video that realistically simulates going to see a show in a box seat. It's so real, I'm not even going to describe it any more. It's just kinda dark and there are other theater-goers in the box jealously taking pictures (don't worry, they're OUR seats) and the place is kinda empty. And the Phantom is nowhere to be found. He lives here on a lake under the building. Really, this is his place, although Christine has wisely left ages ago. Smart girl.
