This is Manneken Pis, the pride and joy of Brussels. He's a little boy peeing. No, I'm not kidding. He gets outfitted in clothes from around the world and on this day, he's all Quebecois.

Day 08

Welcome to one of the craziest days in my life. Try to follow along as we take 4 trains, 5 taxis and a boat to get to wherever the hell we were trying to get to. Ready?

  1. Flemish breakfast at hotel in Gent
  2. Taxi to train station
  3. Train to Brussels
  4. Taxi to Grand Place in Brussels
  5. Waffle (heavy as a brick, but tasty)
  6. Looked at a little boy peeing. HEY! Everyone was.
  7. Taxi to mega beer store called Beer Mania (not kidding)  in Ixelles
  8. Carried boxes of beer through streets of Ixelles while raining - fun times!
  9. Found taxi to train station
  10. Train to Paris (in first class with our wet boxes of beer; they were sooo glad to see us)
  11. Taxi back to apartment in Paris
  12. Metro to Chinatown
  13. Chinese food for dinner where Cylinda ate noodles fit for a god
  14. Metro again
  15. River boat for a night cruise on the Seine
  16. Walked back home
  17. Collapsed because we're not Superman in disguise

Even though it rained just about the whole time in Belgium, I fell in love with the country because it fed me well. See, I'm not hard to please. Just kidding. I'm difficult as hell. Hey, here's a short video of the Grand Place in Belgium.

As for the night cruise on the Seine, I could have shared something nice like Notre Dame all lit up or the Eiffel Tower sparkling. But NO. I'm going to to give you dancing on the quai. And not just any dancing. Line dancing.
